Today (19 May 2021), the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm together with the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok, the Swedish University of Agricultural Science (SLU), the Royal Forest Department of Thailand, National Innovation Agency, and Thailand Management Association co-hosted an online workshop on Innovative Ecosystem for Sustainable Development. This workshop is part of the Thailand and Sweden Sustainable Development Forum 2021, which includes three workshops on the topics relating to sustainable city, sustainable forestry and sustainable ecosystem for startups, to be held between 17-19 June 2021, and a business pitching event for Thai and Swedish business sector in September 2021.

          Many interesting topics emerged from today’s discussion such as the exchanges of information on Thai and Swedish innovation and startup ecosystems, how to develop ecosystem to enhance startups and companies’ abilities to innovate, how to support startups in different growth cycles, how to embed SDGs in the innovation and startups ecosystem, the new Swedish research and innovation bill and its objectives, how to grooming startups founded by academicians or students, the startups management during the COVID-19, and the roles of government’s agencies in supporting startups to scale-up, especially on funding issues.
