Ambassador and Thai Embassy team attend Kathina ceremony for Photitham Meditation House in Kalix.

          On 30 October 2021, Thai communities from Kalix, Överkalix, Gällivare, Kiruna, and nearby communities gathered in a Kathina ceremony for Photitham Meditation House in Kalix at the Manhem School (Manhemskolan). Monks from Photitham Meditation House in Kalix, DhammanglaramTemple in Sundsvall, and Piyadhammaram Temple in Bispgården took part in the ceremony. Ambassador Kanchana Patarachoke together with officials/staff from the Royal Thai Embassy and the Office of Defence Attache joined in the Kathina ceremony. Mr. Tommy Nilsson, a representative from Kalix Municipality (Kommunalråd), was also present at the ceremony.
