Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, accompanied by Mrs. Chinattha Sangvachara, Second Secretary, and Ms. Patlapa Thipraksa, Interpreter and Cultural Affairs Coordinator, visited the three Thai elephants—Ton Sak, Bua, and Sao Noi—at Kolmården Zoo.

On 30 September 2025, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, accompanied by Mrs. Chinattha Sangvachara, Second Secretary, and Ms. Patlapa Thipraksa, Interpreter and Cultural Affairs Coordinator, visited the three Thai elephants—Ton Sak, Bua, and Sao Noi—at Kolmården Zoo. They were warmly welcomed by Ms. Malin Wiklund, Senior Team Manager, and the elephant care team, who shared information on the animals’ health and welfare.Bua and Sao Noi were gifted by King Rama IX to the King of Sweden in 2004, while Ton Sak, was a gift to Queen Margrethe II of Denmark in 2015, later joined Kolmården Zoo through cooperation with Copenhagen Zoo.Today, the elephants live peacefully together, all in good health and receiving regular medical check-ups, foot care, exercise, bathing, and monthly weight and blood tests. The Ambassador expressed gratitude to Kolmården Zoo for their dedication, emphasizing that Thai elephants serve as a bridge of friendship between Thailand and Sweden.
