On 26 June 2025, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, together with Ms. Pittara Navarat, Minister Counsellor, and Mr. Artsith Katawetawaraks, Counsellor, welcomed the delegation from the Senate Committee on Labour. The delegation was led by Mr. Virat Rakpan, Chairman of the Committee, along with the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Vice-Chairpersons, as well as committee spokesmen, members and advisors. The committee was on a study visit trip to Norway and Sweden between 21 – 28 June 2025.In this regard, Ambassador Arunrung presented a summary on the key missions of the Embassy, with a primary goal encompassing the protection of the interests and well-being of the Thai community in Sweden, which numbers approximately 80,000 people. This includes caring for and protecting Thai workers in Sweden to ensure they work with honour, and receive due rights and benefits, especially with Thai seasonal berry pickers. It also involves supporting and overseeing Thai massage businesses and workers in Sweden, as well as coordinating and cooperation with various sectors in Sweden as they carry out their duties in accordance with the Swedish law and enforcement policies.
