Ambassador paid a courtesy call on Mr. Aslan Akbas, Lord Mayor/Chairman of the City Council of Gothenburg.

On 2 September 2024, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, together with Ms. Pia Orrgren, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Gothenburg, Minister Counsellor Pittara Navarat, Ms. Yuthaporn Norrman, staff of the Embassy and Ms. Panadda Changmanee, ThaiWISE project manager paid a courtesy call on Mr. Aslan Akbas, Lord Mayor/Chairman of the City Council of Gothenburg.

Both sides discussed possible collaboration between Thailand and the City of Gothenburg which includes cooperation on economics, investment, innovation and sustainability. Ambassador Arunrung also stressed that one of the most important missions of visiting Gothenburg this time is to attend the project on enhancing the standard of Thai massage, which the Embassy has been cooperated successfully with ThaiWISE in other cities and hopefully, it will be successful in Gothenburg too. Lord Mayor also commended good efforts of the Embassy and ThaiWISE on such project.
