18 November of every year since 1918 is Latvian National Day or the Independence Day of the Republic of Latvia. In 1921, Thailand was one among the first countries that recognized Latvia’s independence.
Thailand has established diplomatic relations with Latvia since 19 March 1992. Hence, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic relations. The Royal Thai Embassy pledges to continue promoting Thai-Latvian relations in all dimensions.
On the occasion of the National Day of Latvia, the Royal Thai Embassy wishes to express its congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of Latvia and to the Thai communities in Latvia.
Happy Latvian National Day!
