Back again by popular demand

On the occasion of Thai National Day, 5 December 2021. The Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm would like to invite you to participate in the photo contest in the theme of “Thainess in Sweden and Latvia” to showcase the varieties of being Thai in either Sweden or Latvia and to reflect the relationship between Thailand and Sweden/Latvia. We will publish the winning photos on our Facebook during 10-22 December 2021.

Competition rules:

• All participants must be a resident of Sweden or Latvia
• A participant can send in a maximum of 1 picture each. The photo must be taken by the participant himself/herself, and submitted within the given deadline.
• A photo must have a title and a description of how it shows Thainess in Sweden/Latvia. The description length may be a maximum of 5 lines.
• Regarding the copyright, the participant is responsible for ensuring that the photo does not violate copyright law.

• The photo must not be published or have participated in other competitions before.
• Appropriate level of photo-retouch is permitted.
• The photo should have as high resolution as possible, as we will print the hard copy of the winning photos into at least 60cm x 80cm photo size later.
• We only accept photo submission via email, not via Facebook messenger.

Photo submission:

• Fill in the required information on the form https://thaiembassy.se/en/photocontestform/ (click to download) and send the completed form together with the photo file to Email: photocontest.rtesto@gmail.com.
• After you have sent in the pictures, we will confirm that we have received them.

Submission deadline:

• Photo submission must reach us by 28 November 2021 at 24.00 hrs. (Swedish local time).

Prizes:

• 1st price SEK 2,000.
• 2nd prize SEK 1,500.
• 3rd prize DKK 1,000.
• 10 Honorary Mention prizes, SEK 500 for each winner.

Judging criteria:

• Adherence/appropriateness to the theme “Thainess in Sweden and Latvia”.
• Creativity of photo composition and innovative means of delivering message from the photo will receive extra score from the jury.
• Overall impression of the photo.

Other conditions:

• The decision of the judges is final.
• The embassy reserves the right to use the awarded photos in other embassy’s activit
• Staff of the Royal Thai Embassy and team Thailand Stockholm are prohibited to join in this photo contest.
