The Royal Thai Embassy and Tourism Authority of Thailand Stockholm participated the 5th Edition of Stockholm International Fashion Fair.

To celebrate the International Women’s month in March and to raise awareness on sustainable fashion, on March 5, 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy and Tourism Authority of Thailand Stockholm Office, together with Mr. Choke Wanmala, the creator of ‘Aspire by Choke’ clothing brand (, participated in the 5th Edition of Stockholm International Fashion Fair at Grand Hotel, Stockholm. Around 200 people participated in the event, consisting of ambassadors and representatives from various embassies in Stockholm and fashion and textiles enthusiasts.

The event featured collections from 11 designers from different countries around the world, including Camilla Thulin, one of Sweden’s top designers. Other designers included those from Romania, Slovakia, Tunisia, Morocco, France, and Thailand, for example.

‘Aspire by Choke’ was created by Mr. Choke Wanmala, who uses his fashion skills to empower women in his hometown in the North of Thailand. He taught them how to sew and create clothing patterns using natural fabrics, enabling them to be able to earn their livings.

The 15 models showcasing ‘Aspire by Choke’s collection are Thai women in Sweden from all walks of lives who volunteered for this event. What they all have in common are their determination to thrive and contribute to Swedish society and to help their fellow Thai women here. Some of them are from the younger generation who grew up in Sweden but are able to proudly keep their Thai language and cultural heritage.
