The Royal Thai Embassy team participated in the Thai Festival in Norrtälje.

          On 8 July 2023, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys and staff from the Royal Thai Embassy participated in the Thai Festival in Norrtälje (Thailändska Kulturmarknaden) organized by Ms. Umawadee Piipponen, representative of the Thai community in Norrtälje. The festival included a celebration of the water dragon, making offering to Buddhist monks from Norrtälje and Uppsala, as well as other cultural performances such as traditional Thai dances, Thai boxing, and traditional Thai music, along with a selection of the Thai foods and goods.

          The Ambassador and staff joined the Thai community in a fashion show of traditional Thai dresses. The Embassy also organised a consular booth to provide Thai and Swedish nationals with information regarding application for Thai passport, Thai ID card, visa and other legalisation matters.

          The Embassy appreciates and stands ready to support the efforts by the Thai communities to showcase Thai cultures and ways of life in Sweden.
