The Royal Thai Embassy welcomed the Deputy Dean of the faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital and the executive team.
On July 3rd, 2022 the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm welcomed Professor Dr. Pornchai Mulpruek, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, and the executive team. Sweden is a part of the study visit to European countries of the Ramathibodi Hospital’s delegation to learn about hospital management systems and innovations within the medicine field in order to apply those knowledge and knowhow in designing the Ramathibodi Hospital’s new patient building. The new building will be completed in five to seven years.
On this occasion, the Embassy organized an event for the Thai medical students and Thai students studying the medical related fields, including those studying in the fields of Nanotechnology and Data Science, in Sweden to discuss and share experiences with the Ramathibodi Hospital’s executive team. The evening also included a presentation by Dr. Pornchai on the new hospital’s building project, as well as a presentation on SciLifeLab by Mr. Thanadol Sutantiwanichkul, who is currently working in the field of Data Science and Bioinformatics at Uppsala University.
The Embassy will work with Ramathibodi Hospital to move forward medical cooperation with Sweden. The Thailand and Nordic Countries Innovation Unit (TNIU), initiated by the Thai Embassy in the Nordic countries, will also take part in supporting collaboration in medical innovation.
