The ambassador met the Director-General for Bilateral Relatons Directorate of Latvia.

          On 25 January 2024, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys visited the Ministry of Foreign Affair of the Republic of Latvia to meet the Director-General for Bilateral Relations Directorate, Ms.Katarina Plātere. Both sides discussed ways and means to strengthen Bilateral ties between Thailand and Latvia in the areas of economic, political, and social relations. Fruitful exchanges were made between the two sides to discover further cooperation in trade and investment between Thailand and Latvia, as well as mutual views on security and human rights.

          The meeting was a first meeting with DG of Bilateral Relations for the Ambassador, following the presentation of her credentials to the President of the Republic on 24 January 2024. It is also a continuation from her meetings with the Latvian private sector, in the effort to support the expansion of economic activities between Thailand and Latvia.
