To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Thailand-Latvia diplomatic relations in 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm in collaboration with Art Museum Riga Bourse, Latvia.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Thailand-Latvia diplomatic relations in 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm in collaboration with Art Museum Riga Bourse (https://www.lnmm.lv/makslas-muzejs-rigas-birza) co-organise an exhibition “From Life to Arts: The Reflections of Thai Communities through Local Thai Contemporary Artists and Textiles”, showcasing artworks from Thai contemporary artists and textiles from 4 regions of Thailand, during 22 April – 26 June 2022. The artists include Angkrit Achariyasophon, Tanupon En-on, Jehabdulloh Jesorhoh, and Jakkai Siributr.

On the first day of the exhibition, Ms. Thanida Menasavet, Minister Counsellor, Ms. Surada Monatrakul, Counsellor and Mr. Alexander Vonsensay, an Embassy staff together with Ms. Diaga Upeniece, Head of Art Museum Riga Bourse, and Ms. Kristine Milere, Curator, welcomed to the Exhibition representatives from Latvian Foreign Ministry – Ms. Samija Šerifa, Director of Second Bilateral Relations Department, Ms. Ligita Davidova, Head of Asia-Oceania Division, and Mr. Henrijs Dzelme, Desk Officer at Asia and Oceania Division.

Thailand and Latvia established diplomatic relations on 19 March 1992. Around 10,000 Latvian tourists visit Thailand each year.
